Redwood trees can be found all over the San Francisco Bay Area, both in parks and preserved spaces as well as in residential neighborhoods. I love them whenever they are. The redwood trees in this particular painting can be found on UC Berkeley campus, along one of the shaded walks between academic buildings. But they might as well be in the middle of the wilderness, ancient and untouched. From this painting, you wouldn’t even know!
